I enjoy a good themeless on the weekend, and a good tricky theme mid-late week. I think it's important that rebiii can only happen on one or two days of the week (on Wednesdays it's usually much more obvious). I love it! I love any weird Thursday gimmick. Other times, the puzzle just feels like it won't fit and I don't know why, then I hit the revealer and it pops. Rebii nearly always have a good revealer that really helps things click. Then I get to the revealer and find out what was going on. Sometimes - rarely! - I can start piecing together the rebus. ![]() Then I start looking for possible rebus words in answers before looking for a revealer. I used to hate them, now they're my favourite! First I get a vague sense of dread as things aren't fitting right.
